Flea Dips & Skunk Treatments 

If your dog or cat has been sprayed by a skunk, we will be able to treat your animal with a specialized skunk bath. This treatment will effectively remove skunk spray from your animal. For pets with flea problems, our flea dips will eliminate all traces of fleas and eggs from your animal's fur. Keep in mind our dips only kill parasites that currently infest your pets. Medicated Bath Treatments

Reduce frequent itching and prevent rashes on your pet with our medicated bath treatment. Using a specialized blend of oatmeal and baking soda shampoo, we will soothe your pet's skin to reduce itching and scratching. 

The Grooming Process 

A DAY AT OUR GROOMING SHOP is not a traumatic experience for your pet. He or she is getting plenty of attention and T.L.C. You could compare your pet’s experience to a day at the spa.We groom a number of dogs per day and though we wish we could take one dog at a time through the grooming process, we can neither efficiently nor economically operate in this manner. The following will explain how each dog receives our personal attention. Grooming times vary depending on the temperament and size of you pet.

GROOMING YOUR DOG OR CAT TAKES TIME 

  • Step 1

    Step One: All pets are prepared for their bath. This includes the initial clipping to remove excess hair and detangling matted hair if possible (extra fees may be applied at this time.) Last the hair is softly brushed followed by a fine-toothed comb. This aids in obtaining a thorough cleansing in the bath as well as giving the shampoo nowhere to hide during the final rinse. The nails are clipped and ears cleaned during this time: 60-90 minutes. Break Time.

  • Step 2

    Step Two: The bath consists of a thorough shampooing with mild, tearless shampoo and complete rinse. Flea treatment and other preparations such as cream rinses and medicated shampoos (extra fee) are used at the owner’s request or as needed. 30-40 minutes. Break Time.

  • Step 3

    Step Three: After the bath all dogs are dried and thoroughly brushed so that the hair is left tangle free. Keeping your pet brushed and combed between grooming results in a more enjoyable and less stressful visit for your pet. 40-60 minutes. Break Time.

  • Step 4

    Step Four: Now that the time-consuming steps are over, we can relax and enjoy the finish clipping or scissoring. Most body work is done with a clipper; however, the legs, head and tail are usually hand-scissored. Therefore, this can take about an hour depending on the size, style of the cut and the cooperation of the pet. Break Time.

THE CRITICAL FINAL STEP 

  • Step 5

    Step Five: Special consideration and attention is needed. Quiet is essential at this time because a sudden jerk can change a style dramatically.

    We have to calm the pet to get him quiet enough to resume grooming. This is why pickup times are controlled.
